Grief Support Publications

We have a variety of books, articles and videos relating to different aspects of grief, including information on coping with grief available in the SIDS and Kids WA library located at 33, Sixth Avenue, Kensington. All may be borrowed by bereaved parents, familes and friends.

The following grief support resources are available free of charge to anyone who has been affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child. There is usually a charge for hospitals or other organisations wishing to order multiple copies of the booklets.

	Family and Friends: You Can Make a Difference Death is a difficult subject, and sometimes it is hard to know what to do or say to someone whose young child has died. This book gives practical advice on ways in which you can offer your understanding and support.	download
	Grandparent to Grandparent This booklet is by and for grandparents whose young grandchild has died suddenly and unexpectedly. It acknowledges that grandparents experience deep sadness when a grandchild dies.	download

It aims to reassure parents that no matter how strange their thoughts and feelings may seem at this time, there is absolutely no right or wrong decision, only what is right for them.	download
