A guide to creating online memorials

Online memorials are a fantastic way to pay tribute to your child. It's a great way of sharing memories with family and friends and celebrating the lives of the precious ones who are sadly no longer with us. You can create your own memorial for free on the Facebook and Everday Hero websites.

Logo: FacebookA family or parents can create a memorial page for their child on Facebook which allows friends and family to leave messages on the ‘Wall’ of the page for the child and their family. By setting up an account for the child you can create an online alias for them and request that facebook ‘memorialise’ the page to recreate it as an ‘in-memory-of’ page instead.

Logo: Everyday HeroYou can also create an ‘In-Memory-Of’ page on everydayhero.com where you can create a page for your child which allows you to forward the page to friends and family and have them make donations to SIDS and Kids WA as a token of remembrance.
